Goodreads Synopsis
When I recruit my Christmas-loving roommate for a holiday charity fundraiser, I don’t expect a kiss under the mistletoe to unravel everything.
We have three days to rack up as many points as possible and Brin is the perfect person to do this with—she exudes enthusiasm and energy, especially when it comes to the holidays.
I would know—we share a room in an apartment in New York City. It’s close quarters. Too close, judging by how often I catch myself thinking about her. I know how she sounds in the shower and where she keeps her favorite toy…
Things I try not to think about, because Brin is also too kind, too small-town sweet for someone like me. My job as the personal assistant to one of the wealthiest trust fund socialites in Manhattan is to be his fixer—when he needs someone to be an asshole, I’m the one he calls. And I’m good at my job, because that’s what I’ve done all my life, pushing away everyone I loved.
As we race around the city ice skating, eating sufganiyot, honoring the winter solstice, and yes, kissing under the mistletoe, I discover Brin has some secrets of her own, and I may be just the type of man she needs.
Chock-full of holiday cheer and pining, these best friends and roommates will realize that they compliment each other everywhere that matters. Cuddle up for a cozy and hot winter wonderland!
Our scavenger hunt is over, and I don’t think I care anymore about winning. Because maybe I already won, when I have Brin naked in my arms.
Run, Run, Roommates by Liz Alden
My Review
This is the fourteenth book by Liz Alden that I have read. I’m clearly a fan! I got hooked on her books with her first series – Love and Wanderlust – and I’ve read all of her books since then! I really enjoy her writing style and I love all the fun locations that she uses for the setting of each book.
In Run, Run, Roommates, we meet Marco and Brin, roommates who are participating in a scavenger hunt around the city to support charities. The scavenger hunt was such a fun idea! It was clearly crafted towards bringing our two characters closer together, and I loved that! This is a novella, so it’s a little shorter than your typical novel, and I felt that the scavenger hunt aspect also made for a quick read. This is one you should definitely pick up if you don’t want to jump into a long read around the holidays!
As we get to know Marco and Brin throughout the story, we learn how they became roommates and their feelings towards each other. As the scavenger hunt progresses, so does their relationship. Marco and Brin are a great couple and I really enjoyed their story. This is a spicy novella, so be prepared! I would definitely recommend picking up this story!
